Enquiries and personal assistance
Our contact form asks for your email address and message so we can reply. It sends your enquiry to our business mailbox; the form does not create a separate copy of your message in the website database. Please only include information needed for your enquiry, and do not send payment-card details, passwords or medical records.
We use information needed for a product quotation or purchase to take steps you request before a contract, or to carry out that contract. For general questions and support, our legitimate interest is providing helpful customer service. Without an email address and a message, we cannot respond through the form. An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing.
Shopping, accounts and security
Shopping features use basket contents and session identifiers. Checkout can process your name, email, billing or delivery address, optional telephone number and order notes. Address details may be sent to the website when checkout totals are updated, before an order is placed. Where an order is recorded, its contents, contact details, status and related correspondence are held in WooCommerce on our hosting. Existing account details support sign-in and order access. These functions support the shopping service you request; records needed to meet tax and accounting duties are processed under legal obligations.
Hosting and security systems process technical information, including IP addresses, browser details and request times, to operate and protect the website. This supports our legitimate interests in preventing misuse and keeping the service reliable. The contact form uses a one-minute rate-limit record derived from the visitor IP address, not a separate database of enquiry messages.
Wig finder and sensitive information
The Find Your Wig questionnaire works in your browser. Its answers are not submitted to our website server or saved to a customer account. You can select “I would prefer not to say” for the hair-situation question. Please keep health information out of general enquiries. If specialist information is needed for a separate consultation, we will explain its purpose and privacy arrangements before requesting it.
Cookies, fonts and optional measurement
Our Cookie Policy describes the storage used for the basket, security and your privacy choices. With your optional consent, WooCommerce attribution records how a visit reached the shop and related visit information. You can withdraw this permission using Cookie preferences. It is separate from email-marketing permission. No newsletter subscription is created by the contact or checkout form.
The website loads fonts from Google Fonts. This makes requests to Google’s font servers and shares technical connection information such as your IP address and browser information. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Social and WhatsApp links open external services; information you choose to send there is also handled under those services’ privacy terms.
Who can receive information?
Our website and domain email use Hostinger services. Website information is stored through WordPress and WooCommerce on our hosting; these software names do not by themselves mean that every enquiry is sent to a separate software-company account. People authorised to manage customer enquiries or maintain the website can access information needed for their work. Relevant records may also need to be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where required by law. A payment or delivery service used for an agreed order needs the information necessary to perform that service; its identity should be clear before you use it.
Processing outside the UK
Hostinger uses international infrastructure and support, so information may be processed outside the UK. Its Data Processing Addendum describes its processing arrangements and contractual safeguards, including the UK transfer addendum where applicable. Google and external messaging services also operate internationally under their own published privacy arrangements. Contact us if you need information about the arrangements relevant to your enquiry.
How long information is kept
Retention depends on the record and why it is needed. For enquiries, the relevant criteria are whether the conversation is resolved, whether follow-up is still requested, and whether it forms part of an order or complaint. Order and accounting records depend on applicable record-keeping duties and any open refund, dispute or legal claim. Account information depends on continued account use and outstanding orders or obligations. Security records depend on the period needed to investigate misuse; backup copies follow the hosting or email service’s backup cycle. Cookie lifetimes are listed separately in our Cookie Policy. You can ask us about a particular record or request deletion; we will explain any reason it must be retained.
Your rights and questions
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information. You can object to uses based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful use.
